The time has come for one of the most intense duels in European football. The Champions League winner faces the holder of the latest edition of the Europa League, and this year they oppose two English teams. Liverpool ended their season in glory after losing their Premier League title, and then for a point. But, winning the Champions League has once again affirmed the Reds as a top team, this may well have been the title that could “push” Liverpool to become a more consistent and winning team. They made their Premier League debut in 2019-2020 and confirmed they could have a great season after a 4-1 win over Norwich. But Chelsea had an almost reverse result, losing by (4-0) at Old Trafford. And up to that point the two teams differ a lot, as Liverpool had a very “gray” preseason in terms of results, but the real Liverpool appeared in this first round of the Premier League, unlike Chelsea. At Vodafone Park in Istanbul Liverpool are the favorites, but Chelsea have to respond after their “disaster” against Manchester United. Can the blues assert themselves against Liverpool’s power?
