The EFL Cup kicks off the first qualifying round, with some very interesting games that the English football world is enjoying in the middle of this week. Perhaps the most anticipated duel is between Newcastle and Leicester, scheduled at St. James Park.
Newcastle is the host of this qualifying round and the group that receives the highest odds for winning the duel, which is to be expected. The Foxes started the championship against Wolves, a game in which they did not look bad, but Vardy & Co could not get their name on the table. There followed an extremely good tactical game in London against Chelsea, score 1-1. The first victory of the season and for Leicester as well as tonight’s opponent was the last stage against Sheffield Utd, 2-1 on the field.
In the last four years, the statistics are far in favor of Leicester, however, from the year when he managed to win the title surprisingly and so far, has been over Newcastle in all chapters.
