Boston Bruins – Edmonton Oilers

Goalies: Fast (confirmed) vs Talbot (probable)

Boston Bruins has really found the shape and the team is currently raising profits. You have 4 straight victories right after defeating Pittsburgh Penguins with 4-3 at Hemmais. Bruins has shown a solidity that has been their success during the away matches lately. Last to Penguins, the match was also very strong with nice combinations, as Penguin’s defense could not defend myself. This also yielded dividends. However, the game dropped a little in the second and third periods and I think Penguins was the better team seen over the last two periods. Bruin’s success has largely consisted of Anton Khudobin playing incredibly well, and has been clearly the goalkeeper since Rapid injury. This night, however, Rask has gained confidence again after being simply banned by his companion. The question is whether he takes the chance to look knocked out the whole season?

Edmonton Oilers is the team who had the highest expectations for the season, but as a whole flopped. However, the team possesses quality and is McDavid and Draisaitl in game humor, one can be unstoppable in their best studies. As has been said, the team has not delivered this year and had heavy periods but after the win against Detroit Red Wings where I really played out, I thought I could start winning a win. However, again disappointing by falling to Buffalo Sabers by 3-1 and now it became important for Oilers to score points if you do not lose too much against their competitors in the division who just seem to win and win at the moment.

So tonight Tukka Rask starts in Bruins goal. This is somebody who is usually standard, but as Anton Khudobin played, I see this as something negative for Bruin’s part. Tukka has clearly had problems with self-confidence this year and after an injury he now has great pressure on delivering dirket. You meet an Edmonton who has quality if you only get to the game from the beginning and I think the team is really excited about the loss of Saber last.

Add that Oilers has had very good statistics against Bruin’s last years when the carpet was sweeping last year with 2/2 wins. Oilers has also won the last 5 meetings.

No, I like to get Oilers as great underdogs here as I see the match as even as it is. I will therefore go a little heavier on Oilers tonight and hope that Rapid does not make an inhumane match.

Our Prediction: Edmonton win @ 2.12
