Nearly it has been before, but Arséne Wenger has managed to cling to the Arsenal train station – something that has been criticized enormously, not least from their own supporters. Now it’s really shaking again for the French, when his manneys did not win one of the last five matches.
Last “Gunners” had five win-free matches lined up in March 2016, so one can really find out that it is in crisis. The Champions League places are eight points away. A new debacle, in addition, in a derby – and then it becomes difficult to justify why Wenger will remain.
Another major breach for Wenger and Arsenal is the circus around Alexis Sánchez. The attack star is expected to sign for Manchester United at any time and is therefore left outside the squad.
Greater harmony exists in another part of London, at Crystal Palace. The club was a long time jumbo in the Premier League after the nightmare of the year, but got stuck in the squad. Everything has been reversed and of the 12 most recent series is only one lost.
And against whom did that loss come, if not Arsenal? An open and fast-paced match at Selhurst Park ended 2-3.
Just like Arsenal, Palace is injured before the match. But there is nothing new under the sun and should not be valued too much.
“… problem for Arsenal. Do not believe otherwise ”
The squad is hardly the best for Arsenal. In addition to Alexis Sánchez standing outside the squad – and soon the club – Oliver Giroud is injured as well as trion consisting of Mesut Özil, Nacho Monreal and Laurent Koscielny, doubtful cards.
It’s just one factor that causes us to raise a warning’s finger for a rush before Saturday’s derby battles.
Arsenal has thus not won on five matches and seems to have lost everything that can be likened to style. Last week, they dropped a 1-0 lead away to AFC Bournemouth to a 1-2 loss. Catastrophic!
Towards Crystal Palace, which shows a fantastic form, Arsenal is facing a problem. Do not believe anything else.
Some statistics that also strengthen our belief in Palace’s chances are that Arsenal won only one of the last seven meetings with numbers bigger than the outcast. Even again here – and it would not surprise if the away team gets home at least one point from Emirates.

Our Prediction: Crystal Palace win @ 1.82
