Premier League Betting Tips (4th Matchday)

Premier League top games and top betting offers

It happens in quick succession – as is so often the case in England: During the week, most of the first division clubs were still challenged in the League Cup, now the 4th day of the Premier League follows. The top matchup between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, both of which started the season poorly, promises a particular thrill. The situation is completely different at Leicester City, which currently occupies first place in the table – even before Liverpool FC, which will play against Aston Villa. Another exciting game-day awaits us.

Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur Betting Tips

Date: Sunday
Location: Old Trafford

Manchester United have played twice in a row against Brighton & Hove Albion. The Red Devils were able to win both games, which means that they are well on their way to gradually forgetting the disappointing start of the season.

United had lost their first league game: 1: 3 against Crystal Palace, a defeat that was as surprising as it was shameful. Despite great individual advantages, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team rarely got into the dangerous rooms. Conversely, the London opponent was allowed time and time again to break into their own sixteen. Ultimately, the bankruptcy was okay in terms of amount.

But since then the Red Devils have been running. The team recorded three wins in a row, two in the League Cup and one in the Premier League. The doubleheader against Brighton & Hove Albion won the team with a 3-2 and a 3-0 win, so they seem reasonably armed for the duel against the Spurs.

Tottenham has had a changeable season so far – but the pure results are impressive: Following their opening defeat against Everton (1-0), the Mourinho team won four out of five games – including the League Cup eighth final against Chelsea (5-4 on penalties ). With the narrow success behind them, the Spurs should put in a good performance against United, although it will not be enough to win for either team.

Chelsea FC vs Crystal Palace Betting Tips

Date: Saturday
Location: Stamford Bridge

Goal premiere for Timo Werner! In the League Cup, the German striker finally broke the knot and scored his first goal for Chelsea. An important one: against Tottenham Hotspur, he put his team in the lead.

If the Blues had successfully managed the lead afterward, Werner would have been able to look forward to match-winner honors – but Chelsea had to accept the equalizer in the closing stages. In the subsequent penalty shootout, Mason Mount missed the decisive fifth attempt, which resulted in the London city derby going to Tottenham Hotspur.

The elimination in the Champions League should be manageable for Frank Lampard and his team. There is no shame in failing at the Spurs, and the club no longer has to worry about the additional burden due to a barely prestigious competition. More important, however, is the integration of the numerous newcomers: Top transfer Kai Havertz has so far made appearances with light and shadow, against Tottenham he was only on the bench. Thiago Silva looked worryingly stiff at his hips on his debut. And Timo Werner is still waiting for his first league goal. All of these little problems need to be eliminated as soon as possible – ideally all at once against Crystal Palace.

Roy Hodgson’s team started the season with a surprising win against Manchester United (3-1) but then suffered a narrow 1-2 defeat against Everton. The good performances against strong clubs suggest that the Londoners will also make it difficult for city rivals Chelsea. Individually, they are not a worthy opponent – although striker Zaha would probably have blues level – as a group, the solid defense for years should cause difficulties. It, therefore, seems all the more important that Havertz functions as a source of ideas and that Werner exploits his opportunities. We expect at least one of the key players to do their part, which should be enough for a narrow win in the end.

Betting Tips: win for Chelsea and under 2.5 goals

Aston Villa vs Liverpool FC Betting Tips

Date: Sunday
Location: Villa Park

Liverpool FC is in the best of shape again in the Premier League: three games, three wins – and that despite a lavish start program. On the 4th matchday, Aston Villa is an opponent who is individually clearly inferior and who has no other arguments. Although Liverpool arrives quite tired after six games in three weeks, everything should go like clockwork for Jürgen Klopp and his team even with the (all the more motivated) second guard.

We expect a clear issue.

Betting Tips: Victory for Liverpool FC at handicap -2
Odds: 2.95

Arsenal FC vs Sheffield United Betting Tips

Date: Sunday
Location: Emirates Stadium

Arsenal’s strong start to the season is in jeopardy: After the team had opened the season with three wins – including against league leaders Leicester (2-0 in the League Cup) – a damper followed last against Liverpool. The Gunners lost 1: 3 to the Reds, which clearly put them in their place. This year, too, as this game told us, Arsenal are not good enough to seriously play for the title.

Well, it should be enough for a home win against Sheffield.

Betting Tips: victory for Arsenal FC
Odds: 1.55

Leicester City vs West Ham United Betting Tips

Date: Sunday
Location: King Power Stadium

Once at the top left, once at the bottom right, once with a hoe: With two penalties and a dream goal, Jamie Vardy set the course for Leicester’s terrific 5-2 win over Manchester City. The gala and the resulting lead in the standings gave the team a lot of self-confidence. West Ham United should be defeated.

Betting Tips: win for Leicester City with handicap -1
Odds: 2.6

Everton FC vs Brighton & Hove Albion Betting Tips

Date: Saturday
Location: Goodison Park

Three games, three wins: In the first full season under Carlo Ancelotti, Everton FC is in top form. The current 48-hour rhythm should be slowly bothering the team, but it should be enough for a win against the currently shaky Brighton.

Betting Tips: Victory for Everton
Odds: 1.75

Leeds United vs Manchester City Betting Tips

Date: Saturday
Location: Elland Road

Manchester City has never before conceded five goals in front of their home crowd under Pep Guardiola. Newcomers Leeds should feel the anger of the SkyBlues. Geez.

Betting Tips: Victory for Manchester City and over 3.5 goals
Odds: 1.6

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Fulham FC Betting Tips

Date: Sunday
Location: Molineux Stadium

The Wolves were last lost in West Ham (0: 4). Fulham fared little better against Aston Villa (0-3). In a direct duel, Wolverhampton’s individual advantages should be decisive.

Betting Tips: Victory for Wolverhampton Wanderers
Odds: 1.5

Southampton FC vs West Bromwich Albion Betting Tips

Date: Sunday
Location: St. Mary’s Stadium

West Brom has already conceded eleven goals after three games. The next batch will follow in Southampton.

Betting Tips: Over 2.5 goals
Ods: 1.8

Newcastle United vs Burnley FC Betting Tips
Location: St. James ‘Park

Burnley has disappointed across the board so far. Against Newcastle, we can expect a game on a staid Premier League level. Lots of wood, little fire.

Betting Tips: Under 2.5 goals
Odds: 1.57
